Fewer Students Benefitting From TAP
·
- The Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) was created to help low- and moderate-income students pay tuition at colleges and universities in New York State.
- However, there are 13 percent fewer beneficiaries today than there were in 2014-15, a decline of nearly 50,000 students.
- Action must be taken to modernize TAP and allow more New Yorkers to take advantage of this exceptional program.
