Capital Region Independent Higher Education Forum on June 10
News Date: 5/30/2014
Capital Region private, not-for-profit colleges and universities, in conjunction with the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities in New York, invite you to join us for the “Capital Region Independent Higher Education Forum: Brainpower, Partnerships and Resources for Our Region.” More than 34,000 students enroll each year at independent, not-for-profit colleges and universities in the Capital District. These campuses directly employ 11,200 individuals and contribute $3.7 billion to the New York State economy annually. Along with their role as anchor tenants, Independent Sector campuses also are talent magnets, workforce and innovation catalysts and community partners.
The forum will highlight partnerships and provide an opportunity for exchanging ideas and networking for higher education, government, business and community leaders. Discussions will focus on further harnessing independent higher education’s community and workforce contributions for the economic and social good of the region.
